Montenegro Macroeconomic Indicators 2024

Based on the Montenegro Chamber of Commerce presentation and Monstat's final annual estimate

According to the final Monstat figures (after the benchmark revision of the national accounts), Montenegro's nominal GDP for 2024 was €7,645 million and GDP per capita €12,260. Data for 2025 are already available: the average net wage for 2025 was €1,012 (Monstat).

Growth in deposits and lending; the system remains stable. Main borrowers: individuals — 43%, businesses — 33%.

Business financial difficulties

The number of companies with blocked accounts grew by 5%, total debt — by 14%.
